| Long Island Live Steamers public run season is in full swing. Steam, Diesel and Electric trains are bringing our visitors from Southhaven to Jamaica Station. We welcome you to join us on our next public run. |
Membership DetailsFull MembersThese are the voting members of the organization. They elect and can serve as officers and vote on business matters. A person must be a Full Member to be able to access the club track whenever they wish. They can also operate the club engines during Run Days and other club functions. There is no requirement that you own equipment to become a full member.Affiliate MembersFull Members of other recognized live steam clubs, who, because of their enjoyment of the hobby, wish to become members of the Long Island Live Steamers can apply for Affiliate Membership. Affiliate Members are always welcome at operating and working sessions, as well as social events and meetings (although they are not voting members).Associate MembershipThis membership classification was created for those who want to learn more about the club as they become involved in club activities. Associate Members are always welcome to participate in Run Days, Work Days, social events, and attend meetings (although not as voting members).Junior MembershipLILS encourages participation of members of all ages. Junior Membership is open to children seventeen years or younger who are sponsored and supervised by an adult member (in good standing) of LILS. Junior Members are invited to come out to the park to help on public days, work days, many social events, and to attend meetings (as nonvoting members). Children can learn many skills as they participate in this very special hobby.Family MembersThese are members where both parents are considered Full Members, and the children seventeen years or younger (no limit on the number) are Junior Members.If you are interested in joining Long Island Live Steamers, come to our public runs and ask to speak to the Membership Secretary or any Officer.
